Fresh View

Fresh View – December 2, 2006

H. Kazan Fine Arts Gallery is pleased to present "fresh view," an exhibition consisting of 30 works by six artists from Southern California. This is the first of a series of exhibitions to be presented by H. Kazan in a newly designed and handsomely configured gallery space. In this first exhibition, all the artists presented share an Armenian background, which they each express in a diverse and thought provoking way. Their interests and preoccupations are as varied as their attitudes and aesthetics.

The work in "fresh view" represents a wide range of viewpoints and media. H. Kazan has stated, “our intent is to create a nurturing environment where viewers and artists are able to communicate their thoughts directly with each other. Since the impact of the new uproots the preceding certainties, we will strive to present a fresh view in our activities and art.” The exhibition is comprised of paintings by Alina Agnes, Lucy Hagopian, Vachag and Zareh, mixed media by J. Natasha Kostan, 3D objects created by pyrotechnics by Sev, and sculptures by Harout Kazan.

Opening reception Saturday, December 2nd, 6 p.m. - 10 p.m.
